Activating a Student E-mail Account

Every USF student, registered for courses at USF, is eligible for a student e-mail account from Academic Computing. Students may also use this e-mail for Internet access through USF's modem pools. Although free on campus, students may purchase off campus use through the iConnect Marketplace.

Faculty and Staff should ask their computing support group for their college or department in relation to obtaining an e-mail account.

Activating your E-mail Account

Students may activate an e-mail account via the University Network Access Web site or on location at the Academic Computing Help Desk in the Tampa Campus Library, room 117, during the Help Desk's hours of operation.

You will need the following information to activate your account:
University Network Access (UNA)

To activate a student account, start at the University Network Access Web site. Have your USFCard, Social Security Number, and Date of Birth handy. After activating your e-mail account, you may download or send mail through WebMail, our online e-mail portal. You may also continue with the UNA Web site to set your official USF e-mail address (if you have more than one USF e-mail address), to change your password, or to set forwarding options for your student e-mail account.

Account Assistance

If you experience problems with UNA, or are unable to access it, please feel free to call the Academic Computing Help Desk at (813) 974-1222, locally, or at 1 (866) 974-1222, state-wide, for more assistance. Assistance is also provided at our office, Tampa Campus Library room 117, during the Help Desk's hours of operation.
