Step 1 -
Go to the Apple menu and choose System Preferences.

The System Preferences window will appear.

Click on the icon labeled Network.




Step 2 -
Click on the Configure button and select Advanced from the menu.




Step 3 -
Check the button next to AirPort in the Ports & Configuration box.




Step 4 -
Click on the Configue button and select AirPort




Step 5 -
Click on the tab labeled TCP/IP.

Set Configure to Using DHCP and enter your last name for DHCP Client ID.

NOTE: Domain Name Servers and Search Domains should be Blank.




Step 6 -
Click the tab labeled Airport, and make sure all the fields are empty. Under Preferred Network: there should be a listing for an available network (the name may be different depending on where you are) select it.




Step 7 -
Now click on the AppleTalk tag, please Turn OFF Make AppleTalk Active




Step 8 -
Save and exit and you should automatically connect to USF's wireless network.

Note:
Currently we do not support Macs without built-in AirPort connections.
